Why do your vehicles have such low mileage?
Jeep Cherokees: Each Jeep we sell is imported from Japan where they are used as personal-owner vehicles; they have never been used as work vehicles or mail delivery vehicles. Since it is so congested in Japan, most people take public transportation whenever possible. Not every Jeep in Japan has such low mileage; we just hand-pick the vehicles that meet our mileage and condition requirements.
Subaru Foresters: We scour the country for gently used Foresters that have below average miles and are in above average condition.
Why do you only import RHD Jeep Cherokees?
Each vehicle that gets imported back to the United States must be modified to meet all Federal DOT and EPA standards. Currently, the only right hand drive vehicle approved for import is the Jeep Cherokee.
Can you get newer Jeeps?
We currently sell 1994-1998 factory RHD Jeep Cherokees. We are only able to import this year range due to DOT and EPA requirements.
What kind of condition do your right-hand drive vehicles come in?
Pre-purchase Inspection:
Before we purchase any right hand drive vehicle in Japan and import them back to the U.S., we make sure that each vehicle meets the following standards: exterior condition must meet a standard of parking lot wear only, no accidents, no rust or corrosion, no major rips, stains, tears, or grime, and no major mechanical issues.
Mechanical Inspections and Service:
After the RHD vehicle arrives in the United States, it then goes through a series of inspections and services: non-mechanical inspection, road-tested by our ASE-certified master mechanic, mechanical inspection, final drive and inspection, modified to meet DOT/EPA standards, and detailed before it is delivered.
Are inspection reports available?
Yes. Contact Us with the stock number of the Jeep you would like a report on. We can mail, fax, or email the inspection report.
Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau?
Yes. US Drive Right has been a BBB Accredited Business since May 2008 with an "A" rating and no customer complaints.
Where are you located?
We are located in South Central Michigan in Spring Arbor, just off Interstate 94, near Jackson, roughly half way between Kalamazoo and Detroit.

Are the vehicles you have available located at your facility?
Yes, each Jeep listed on our website is either located at our facility or in transport to our facility in Spring Arbor, Michigan.
Can I test drive a RHD mail vehicle before I reserve one?
Yes, simply contact us at 888-632-5936 to set up an appointment for a test drive.
Where do you find your RHD vehicles?
Each Jeep we sell is imported from Japan where every vehicle is RHD (just like the UK). Each Jeep we sell was also manufactured originally in the United States at the Jeep plant in Toledo, Ohio. We are re-importing them back to the US. They have never been used as work vehicles or mail delivery vehicles, just as personal-owner vehicles.
What kind of price range do these vehicles sell for?
1994-1998 Jeep Cherokees are typically sold in the $8000-$12000 range.
1998-2002 Subaru Foresters are typically sold in the $14000-$17000 range.
Why are some vehicles not available until a later date?
Each Jeep goes through our import and federal regulation approval process. It can take up to three or four months from the time we acquire the Jeep in Japan until it is ready for sale in the United States. Click here to view our most current inventory or sign up for our VIP preview list to see a listing of vehicles available soon.
What fees do I have to pay?
There is a $255.00 DOT/customs surcharge and a $75.00 title fee on each vehicle. 1997 and 1998 models also have a $120.00 EPA surcharge. Contact us for a total price quote.
Are there more right hand drive vehicles available other than those I see on your website?
Yes, to view other vehicles that will be available soon, sign up for our VIP preview list or contact us and we'll help you find a RHD vehicle.
What happens if I get a vehicle from you and it has an issue?
We go through a detailed inspection process to ensure the quality of what we sell. If, for any reason, you receive a vehicle from us that has an immediate issue, we ask that you contact us so we can work through the issue and get it resolved in a quick, fair manner.
If you have a problem in the future with the Jeep, we encourage you to contact us so we can provide best practices and repair tips to help you get back on the road quickly.
Where do I take my vehicle for warranty work?
We don't require you to bring the vehicle back to our facility for warranty repairs. We allow you to take it to your local mechanic where we will ask for an estimate to complete the repairs. Once we receive the estimate, we will compare with Mitchell's Labor Guide book and will pay up to $65.00 per hour for any covered repairs. Once approved, we send out a check to cover the repairs.
